Transceiver Control Unit

First stages of the control unit for the SSB transceiver are complete, most of the IO is wired to the front panel connectors and some still needs mapping out but this will evolve over the course of the project.

For now it is communicating with the DDS unit and serial communication back to the development computer, the band pass and low pass filter filter control outputs are wired up and I will write a small test script so I can quickly validate that they are operating in sequence correctly – I had a brilliant idea of using a cluster of eight 3V LED’s soldered to an 8 pin connector which will allow my test script to loop through all the digital outputs and light the corresponding LED to confirm the wiring is correct.
